Hi Julien,
I am not currently active in the project so my opinion does not way all that
much.
I think it is good that you think about potentially using another version
control system, since this might make life easier for a lot of folks.
Probably this should primarily be a function of what most folks routinely
use for other purposes, not necessarily of the strength or support for other
applications. In the end it tends to be the easiest if people do not have to
work with too many different ways of performing what is essentially the same
task.
In a way this might be a good opportunity for performing a little unofficial
poll on what version control systems are actually in wide spread use.

Subject: [izpack-devel] Moving to Subversion?
Hi all,
We've already discussed this before, and the last time people
preferred sticking with CVS. I think that Subversion support is now
great (IDEA has it built-in, Eclipse has Subclipse and another plug-
in, Netbeans is getting support for it). Subversion has many other
strength. BerliOS has a good Subversion support now, with an access
from either svnserver+ssh or https/
So this time, are people willing to move to Subversion?
Let me know, I can arrange the migration.
Cheers
