[izpack-devel] OS tag bug in IzPack

Instead of using the os-attribute, you'll have to add an os element
<pack id="test" name="testpack">
<os name="macos" />
</pack>
The os-element also supports a family-attribute.
A much more flexible approach is to use the conditions which can be defined in a resource called conditions.xml. See the examples and doc
on this mailing list.

Dennis

Thank you for the advice, I have change linux into unix and it seems to work fine on windows, but the problem continues with mac (The installer shows the pack for mac and for unix-linux)
I know that inside every mac there is an unix, but I want to know if there is any way that the installer shows only mac packages only and not unix package.
Thanks a lot

Hi Push To...,
I have not installed your test program, else only looked into example.xml. I assume, that your
pack for linux will be installed on all os types. This is not a bug of IzPack, else one in your example.xml.
The attribute "os" is used for the os family. Look into the dtd, there is a list of valid values (unix|windows|mac).
unix is a family name, linux not. See docu...
Cheers
Klaus

Subject: [izpack-devel] OS tag bug in IzPack
Hello IzPack developer team!
I am developing an Installer for TestMaker and I think I have founded a bug.
The bug is related with the os tag in the packs tag.
It seems like the linux attribute in the os tag doesn't work correctly
I have developed a small example to show you the problem.
Hope you see it and together we fix the problem.
Thanks
