Hi,

First of all, did you know the current "jpn.xml" is incomplete?
There's some missing translations.
I'll attach a small screenshot. You can notice missing transaltions such
as "PacksPanel.freespace".

BTW, I'm using UTF-8 always.
It may help keep all izpack configuration (xml) files in utf-8
encoding(specify "encoding" attribute for xml declaration and edit/save
it utf-8 enabled editor. in windows, you need somewhat special editor).
I'll attach the "jpn.xml" file which encoded with utf-8(you've NO need
to use this one, although i prefer it).

The locale and resource sections of my "install.xml" looks like
following(note "encoding" attribute in <res> element):
<locale>
<langpack iso3="eng" />
<langpack iso3="kor" />
<langpack iso3="jpn" />
</locale>
<resources>
...
<res id="packsLang.xml_eng" src="../install/packsLang_eng.xml"
encoding="utf-8" />
<res id="packsLang.xml_kor" src="../install/packsLang_kor.xml"
encoding="utf-8" />
<res id="packsLang.xml_jpn" src="../install/packsLang_jpn.xml"
encoding="utf-8" />
...
</resources>

And "packsLang.xml_jpn" looks like following(note on "encoding"
attribute in the first line):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<langpack>
<str id="pack.core" txt="基本" />
<str id="pack.core.description" txt="核心 ファイルたちと 基本 プラグイン
たちを 設置します." />
<str id="pack.smtp" txt="SMTP エージェント" />
<str id="pack.smtp.description" txt="SMTPを 提供する エージェント プラグ
インたちを設置します." />
...
</langpack>

There's nothing special in my install.xml ;)
