Markus,

have you tried running the installer with administrative rights?

a way to ensure this:
find the command-promt shortcut in your start-menu (within Accessories), 
right-click and select 'Run as administrator'
then start your installer by CD-ing to the correct directory and issue 
the command

java -jar <yourinstallerjarname>.jar

This way we can at least determine if it's an issue with Vista's UAC 
(User Account Control) or some other error trying to start your batchfile.
